"I'm a very restless person. I'm always doing something. The creative process never stops." -Oscar de la Renta

This year, my boyfriend and I made our first gingerbread house together. He surprised me with the kit, knowing that I wanted to make a gingerbread house this Christmas. :) I think it turned out pretty well! It was so much fun to make it together. Every day I feel luckier and luckier to have him in my life.

Towards the end, we had lots of leftover candy....so we kind of just stuck it everywhere lol!

My boyfriend came over with a bunch of beautifully wrapped gifts, and he got me a yummy candle, the gingerbread house making kit, candy canes, and cookies. It was so cute and it was a total surprise; I actually teared up. :)

I also took a couple of shots of my favorite New Year's tree ornaments. For anyone who is curious, back in the USSR, New Year's was celebrated the way Christmas is - that is, with a tree and with gifts. So I celebrate New Years the way most people celebrate Christmas, except without any religious connotations lol. We put up ornaments we've had forever from back in Ukraine, ornaments from Germany, and loads of other ornaments. My mom and I also try to buy new ornaments every year. It's so much fun to decorate the tree with her; each ornament carries memories and I know I will treasure them forever.

It's 2012 now - a whole new year to make the best of! My resolutions are as follows:
  • To answer all of my questions on Tumblr
  • To eat healthy foods and exercise regularly (lol, isn't this everyone's resolution? :P)
  • To save up for a Louis Vuitton Mon Monogram Neverfull and vintage Chanel Maxi
  • To always remain poised, kind, grateful, and classy
  • To take better photographs for this blog lol

  2. This may be weird, but if you're into candles (I assume maybe you are since your bf got you one) you should really try the Henri Bendel candles! They're pricey but SO worth it, and this is coming from someone who actually doesn't care for candles otherwise haha.

Anon - I am actually not really that into candles, he got me my first LOL. But I will definitely sniff them next time I'm there! I think I want a Laduree candle :D
