“I think that we have to be aware that people are allowed to make mistakes in their life." -Christian Dior

I finally tried Laduree yesterday!

It was amazing, to say the least. We tried several flavors: vanilla (amazing!), green apple, coffee (pretty good), rose petal (not so good...lol), orange blossom (pretty good), chocolate (good, of course), and I forgot the names of the others haha.... In case anyone is wondering, a standard box of eight macarons runs for about $23 after taxes. They also have special gift boxes. The place was beautiful but not extremely big. They didn't have a huge selection - they had small macarons, some chocolates, jams, candles, room sprays, and little gift bags. Also, there was nowhere to sit and the line was gargantuan!

I wore a Free People dress with a Brooks Brothers belt, and I threw on my new Tibi shirt on top. I also wore my Longchamp Le Pliage!

I am obsessed with this ring!

On my feet, I wore Giuseppe Zanotti sandals! Also, if anyone is wondering, my nail polish is Mermaid's Tears by O.P.I.!

After Laduree, my boyfriend and I wandered around the city and wound up eating burritos at Chipotle.

Here is the bracelet I wore. I love it so much; it's made from a fork! I bought it years and years ago after a regular semi-annual trip to the Met with my mom. There was a vendor outside who made amazing stuff out of forks!

All in all, it was a fun day! Here are the rest of the photos!

Credits go to my boyfriend for the wonderful photography! <3

  5. Wow. It looks like everything is cheaper in NYC than it is in Paris EXCEPT for Ladurée. A box of 8 macarons is about $10 here in Paris. And I thought that was expensive lol.

PS: How can you not like the rose ones ? They're my favorite :D I don't know if they have the same limited editions in NYC and in Paris, but we got Grape/Cinnamon here for the holidays and it was absolutely amazing. You should try it if they sell them in NYC ! :)
