Fashion's Night Out was probably one of the best nights of my entire life. I dragged my best friend Anna to the city, and figured we'd go to Bloomingdales for FNO...
We wound up leaving Bloomingdales and walking around. She'd never really been to Barney's, so we went. Once we got there, we grabbed their itinerary and decided to stay there for FNO. It was well worth it.
We got so much free food - popcorn, these weird organic drinks, free Fiji, there was champagne, everything! A makeup artist did our makeup, and told me I had great skin, which made me happy haha. I want to go back there and buy the bronzer and concealer he used on me. I danced on the runway with Alexander Wang and his models:
I saw the Fashion and Creative directors of Barney's (I've seen Simon Doonan before, but only on tv!) MANOLO BLAHNIK SIGNED MY NOTEBOOK! I was the last person, he was just about to leave! My friend and I made a flip book. And then we went to Gucci on a tip from the lady on line with us waiting for Mr. Blahnik...I wanted one of the Fashion's Night Out shirts, but they were $30 and I didn't have money on my card, and Anna didn't have money because we'd spent it all on food. We walk into Gucci, go upstairs, eat Gucci-monogrammed chocolates, come downstairs, and enter a sweepstakes by signing a thing. And what do we know? A man comes up to us and says, "Ladies, this is for you." Two nice, neat brown Gucci bags...with FNO tees in them. For free. IN OUR SIZES. After this, we walked around, went to David Yurman (they were out of free cowboy hats), Tiffany & Co (free white rose for me!), Henri Bendel (some guy stopped me on the street recently while I was in my t shirt and told me he was there), and more. Anna couldn't stay out late, so we got home at around ten; my Marc Jacobs bag was waiting for me at home. It was such a beautiful night; there were so many well-dressed people and models in the store windows and so many paparazzi.
This outfit is a little ridiculous; don't really know what I was thinking.
