Tom Ford is a genius. He revived Gucci as its creative director and was incredibly successful as YSL's creative director, as well. His own line is impeccable. I have never owned anything by him, but I finally do! I'd like to introduce you to my Tom Ford Nico sunglasses! Nicos, meet my blogger friends. Blogger friends, meet my Nicos! :)
I am such a sunglasses fanatic. I made a post a while ago of my sunglasses collection. Most of mine are relatively basic, but lately I've been incredibly fascinated by really edgy styles. I first tried the Nicos on when I got my Prada Baroques, which I wear all the time and absolutely adore. I thought the Nicos were incredibly cool - they have a very fun, retro shape and they look awesome! I like the Tom Ford Nikitas as well, but I don't think they suit me as well as these do. I've also tried on the Tom Ford Martina sunnies, but I prefer a more oversized cat eye.
Anyway, I fell absolutely in love with the Nico sunglasses. I had to have them. It was only a matter of time...
My Baroques wanted some attention, too. :P
Those are lovely. I like the upturned corners, but I prefer your Prada ones! Those are just too cool! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! :) I can't pick which ones I like more haha :D
DeleteI wanted the baroque sunnies but my bf didn't like it on me. He's not fond of round frames. But they're so cute :D

I don't think my bf loves them either but he probably thinks most of the things I buy are kind of crazy! Lol ;)
DeleteOh Im loving cat eye sunglasses at the moment!!

Thank you! :)
DeleteI'm sorry but these are fake. I used to work in a sunglass store that sold Tom Fords and I can tell you right now, they don't come with that tacky piece of cardboard, the letters on the lens are too far apart, and the space between "Nico" and "TF175" is too wide.
ReplyDeleteThey do come with "that tacky piece of cardboard." There is an image of it in the "things Tom Ford sunglasses should come with" section of this guide: http://www.squidoo.com/hot-to-spot-fake-tom-ford-sunglasses
DeleteThe people at your store probably just removed the white thing. The letters and spacing are on par with every other pair of Tom Fords I've seen, so I will have to disagree with you on that.
Lmao.. way to delete my comment. ClASSy.
ReplyDeleteI didn't delete your comment; are you sure it posted? O_o
DeleteAlso, I'm not sure why you keep coming back to comment/harass me. You believe my sunglasses are inauthentic, and that's okay, but I can assure you I've done my research and seen my fair share of Tom Ford sunglasses and everything about these is correct, from the etched in serial number (that matches the Marcolin Group packaging) to the other details on the arms. Have you considered that maybe the tiny details you're talking about can vary based on angle/lighting/the photograph? I just looked at photos of the Nico model on Nordstrom's website and even there the Tom Ford etching on the lens looks different in different photos of different colored sunglasses.
DeleteLooks like someone is jealous of your pretty new sunnies ;) I absolutely adore them!!
Deletexx Katrina
Thank you Katrina! <3 I don't think they're jealous, but there is no way that these aren't authentic. For good measure, I went to compare them to the other Nicos in different colors at Bergdorf Goodman and they were identical. :)
DeleteWell, Hello Nicos. It's very nice to meet you!
