“I have always believed that fashion was not only to make women more beautiful, but also to reassure them, give them confidence." -Yves Saint Laurent

I've been ridiculously lucky with thrifting recently. I stopped by a random Salvation Army store just on a whim, since I enjoy exploring thrift stores to see what quirky things they have, and I found two awesome things! This Gucci bag was only $4, and it's authentic! I also found a cute little black dress from Theory for $6. :)

 Back of the Gucci:

I am admittedly not a fan of monograms, but this bag is small so it's not a huge print all over. Monograms work much better when they're on something small, like a wallet or a small bag. And even then, it was $4!!!
This is the Theory dress:

  3. Seriously? Which how much shit you talk about the Gucci print specifically? Why don't you just admit that you're label-whoring at this point? After this and those HIDEOUS Manolos, I've lost a bit of respect.

    1. I love the Manolos, I wouldn't have purchased them if I didn't. And i admit, this bag is definitely not something I would've purchased if it wasn't $4, but I figured I could definitely make a profit selling it and I really don't think anyone would pass up a $4 Gucci. Calm yourself lmao

    2. If you had said beforehand that you planned on selling it that would have been an entirely different story. It's just incredibly annoying how you're in such denial that you've jumped on the logo-print bandwagon recently.

  5. out of curiosity, how did you figure that the Gucci was authentic?

    1. She guessed. She's an idiot, and it's fake.

    2. I did some research about vintage Gucci and everything seemed right, but I wasn't sure until someone from the purse forum told me they had the same exact bag (purchased from a Gucci store in the 80s) and said that mine looked exactly the same as theirs and was definitely authentic. :)

  6. The Theory dress is super cute, but I agree with the anon^ you only bought the Gucci because it's a Gucci, not because you like it (and let's be real, who would?). That behavior is the very definition of label whoring. Just because you have access to great thrift stores doesn't give you an excuse to not be discerning with your purchases.

Also, the Manolos were a huge mistake. Again, you were label whoring. The long, slightly squared off toe? You really didn't realize that's something someone's grandma would wear? Once you understand that just because something is a well known label does not necessarily mean it's stylish I will have a lot more respect for you.

    1. I love pointed toe flats. Everyone has different taste. I sincerely love those Manolos lol. As for the Gucci, I wasn't going to pass it up for four bucks...I can resell it for a lot more

  7. I pass up plenty of good deals on well known labels because the things are ugly. If I buy something that you don't like, that's understandable....everyone has different taste. You guys are so unnecessarily vicious lmao, calm down, this really isn't worth getting so worked up over

    1. Clearly it's worth you getting worked up over considering you blocked anonymous postings lmao. No one is being "vicious," just honest. Learn to take some constructive criticism when you ask for it.

    2. I've been meaning to take anon off for a while actually, and I take offense to being called a "label whore" because it's not true. I pass up so many things....there was a Dior logo bag and an ugly Gianfranco Ferre in the same store I got the Gucci at, but I didn't get either. I passed up a plethora of items, but I figured the Gucci was worth getting. I really have no desire to argue though, so good night :)

  10. Wow, I just stopped by to comment on that great gucci find ( AND I sure hope you blocked, deleted, whatever that annoying ANON writer)

  11. I've been reading your blog for awhile, but this is my first time commenting. It's really sad that some people feel the need to post negative, troll-ish comments over a $4 handbag. It's not like you bought some ugly fake - it's vintage and authentic. If you like it that's all that matters, and personally I think it's a really cool bag! It would look great with some jeans and boots. And besides, it never hurts to have a "knock-around" bag that you can carry when you're just running errands. You couldn't want to take your Chanel to the grocery store! :-)
