"The difference between style and fashion is quality." -Giorgio Armani

My Chanel bag came, and it is beautiful beyond belief. So far, I've worn it once: to dinner for my two year anniversary with my beloved beau. We went to Park Avenue Autumn:
The food was delicious and the service was great. My boyfriend got me the Fleur de Lis key with a chain from Tiffany & Co., and I'm completely in love with it!
My makeup from Urban Decay came! I got the Summer of Love nail polish kit and some blue mascara. Plus, my friend got me a cool Tarte palette for my birthday...I'm excited to wear this new makeup! My Carlos Falchi bag also came; it's super useful.
Now, on to my shopping exploits...
I should have spent about $4,600 on all the clothes I bought, but instead, I spent about $450. I bought two dresses from Diane von Furstenberg (the Caran Printed Canvas Dress and the  Sosie knit dress in navy), a dress from MbMJ, and more dresses from Nanette Lepore, Robert Rodriguez, Milly, and Isli. The dresses ranged from $298 originally (the Marc by Marc Jacobs) to $425 (DvF), and I think the Robert Rodriguez dress was about $500 originally. I got each dress for about $36.
I also bought several tops (for $14 each). I purchased a gray v-neck from Milly (originally $195), a tank from Rebecca Taylor ($185), a tank from MbMJ ($225), a shirt from Juicy Couture ($168), and a tank from Bailey 44. I bought a black Boss Hugo Boss  cardigan (originally $225) for $21, as well as a Theory jacket ($395) for $33.
Finally, I bought two skirts for $29.95 each: a charcoal pencil skirt from Vince (a staple piece) and a floral navy and white skirt from Tibi.
I'm amazed that I was able to find so many good deals; I did this before Black Friday (pushy people with coupons are a no-no), and I'm super excited to wear all of my new clothes with my gorgeous new Tiffany key and my Chanel. Unfortunately, I couldn't dress up for Thanksgiving as I've been sick all day. :(

"Fashion is very important. It is life-enhancing and, like everything that gives pleasure, it is worth doing well." -Vivienne Westwood

This weekend, I turned 18. I wore my Diesel leather jacket, new Coach flats, and a gorgeous pink MaxMara dress.
Yesterday, I ordered my Chanel 2.55. Well, not exactly the one I wanted, but a beautiful one, nonetheless. I originally wanted the medium caviar 2.55 with SHW, but since the price increase in August, it's taunted me with its unattainability. Last night, however, on a random check-up on Portero Luxury (www.portero.com), I saw a gorgeous small 2.55 for only $1,600; compared to the current price (which is upwards of $3,ooo), this was a steal. So I ordered a small lambskin flap with GHW.

The flap I ordered is all the way from 1988, so I'm hoping it's in as good condition as it seemed to be in the pictures. The hardware is plated with 22k gold, and I hear the older lambskin quality is much better than the current quality. I doubt I'll be able to return it, so I'm hoping it will be amazing. I'm excited because I feel like I'm getting a little piece of history and, if the bag is as well preserved as it appears, I got an amazing deal!
I also just ordered a Carlos Falchi tote from Ideeli. I've been abusing my Longchamp Le Pliage a lot, so I figured why not have an alternate bag for school besides my MbMJ and my Longchamp? The bag I ordered is hot pink, but that might be a good thing because I need to somehow start matching things with my MaxMara flats! It'll be good for school & the beach:

Originally $220 or $240, I got it for $5o. Well, $60 if you include tax.

"Dress shabbily and they remember the dress; dress impeccably and they remember the woman." -Coco Chanel

I don't know why lately every post of mine has featured some sort of Gossip Girl inspiration, but there you go. Though I feel a bit blah and as unfabulous as possible, I figured I should make a few updates.
Firstly, yesterday evening brought me and a lovely Vince leather jacket together. I don't know the original price, but it's safe to say it was probably around $1,000. I got it for $95.
It can be zipped up one way:
And another way:

Or left unzipped:

It's perfect for the inner bad-ass in me, the one who plans to wear it with some expensive skinny jeans and perhaps a Balenciaga bag. I think it's very fabulous, and it was also a steal! I don't regret the purchase at all; it's completely different from my black Diesel jacket, both in color and style. It's also very, very cool. Oh, and Blake Lively wore it:
On another note, my birthday's coming up and I'm much more stressed than excited. This whole day is very taxing. Daylight savings has made my life much more terrible than it needs to be; I have an exam to study for; I have to register for classes soon. All in all, I'm very worried, and naturally, I've ruined my diet & exercise plan.
Perhaps I should focus on making it a life-style change, like I did the last time I lost a bunch of weight. Once I turn 18, this will be my new lifestyle! Exercising often and eating small, healthy meals. Sounds wonderful.
I wonder if I'll be able to get a Chanel bag around my birthday, but I don't really see it happening. I don't have much hope for anything as of now. I don't know what to do for my birthday and if it's even worth it to celebrate; I feel terrible for not knowing what to get my boyfriend for our two year anniversary...
I don't like to update this blog when I feel like this, so, until next time. Au revoir.
